There are many awesome perks to the teacher life. I thoroughly enjoy the people I work with, students and staff. Every day is a bit of an adventure and my hours are fairly predictable. Summer break is also a perk and a bit of a necessity for general sanity. I did some counting and figured out that I have 75 (a nice figuratively round number) days of summer break. Those days start today. Let the adventures begin!
My day today includes photographing a wedding (pictures will show up in a week or so) in the Washington, Mo region.
Life is good.
Alex: Senior 2013
This young man was just a wee one when I first met him (the nephew of a good friend/roomie) and he is no longer wee. He is all grown up and done with high school. Time really does fly.
Special Olympics Track Meet 2013
In my 6 years as a student council advisor I have been fortunate enough to work with an incredible group of people. This year was another great example and has truly shown me what a bright future we have. The young people I get to work with in Student Council at Fort really make my life much fuller.
This was a little recap video I put together from our track meet yesterday. This is actually the first video I have tried since getting my new camera....I think it went well.
LIP DUB!!!!
I am a advisor for our school's (Fort Osage High School) Student Council. A senior this year decided to take on this all-school project which led to my favorite school day I have ever had as a teacher or student. I felt more school pride this day than I ever have.
Ladies and Gentlemen..... The Fort Osage High School Lip Dub.
Reminder
I come across sayings and images that speak to me at times. This is something I think we need to hear from time to time.
