update

snowed in

on December 18th our semester ended and i started my winter break.  a full two weeks!   at the end of this two week break we had a snow day.  then we had school on tuesday.  then three more snow days (today being the third in a row) and now a weekend.    its kind of getting to the point where it is hard to be positive about it all.  on one hand i always enjoy being off of work, but on the other hand i am basically trapped in a house because the weather is NOT being nice.  i guess i am just hoping this weather lets us be out of school by the 4th of july because i really enjoy that holiday and wouldnt want to be couped up at school all day.
i wish i had more to update but i have been spending my days accomplishing very little.   i have watched quite a few movies and tv shows and some football.  i have spent far too much time on facebook.   i have done some work in the kitchen and laundry, but i still havent taken down my christmas tree and there is no plan to do that any time in the future.  i am doing to need some real outside pressure to get motivated to do that.   so many ornimants to put up and thats no fun.  I just wanted to reach out and put some words out there along with this picture.   enjoy.   stay warm.

icicle 2010

extended winter break

yes yes yes!    A snow day on a Monday.  This one didn't just extend a weekend though; it extended our whole break.   it feels pretty great.   this makes for a 17th day in a row not to be at school.   While i did do some work at home it is still a great perk of the job.  it was also great to have this break from daily commitments to spend time with pam and my family and my new house!   I have this day off so i thought i would post a quick updates that are all very random.

1. Pam and I made this awesome snowman a few days back and it is still standing in my yard.

2.   I just updated my links (to the right and down a bit on this page)

3.  I am planning on explaining all the links on that list and why they are there.

4.  I have a few senior sessions coming up and even booked a wedding i believe.    This wedding thing is news because i have turned down a dozen weddings or so in the recent past (even though i have done a couple) but i feel like i have the equipment, the eye, and the experience to move forward in this direction.

5.  I am working on a facebook 'fan page' for my photography...... not sure about it or if it  makes sense but look for an invitation to that one of these days.

6.  Last but not least i wanted to let you all in on this awesome photo site i look at occasionally.

this is basically a series of full screen gorgeous images

go here occasionally, they covered christmas very well.

hope all is well in your world.

2009 is already over. Dang

2009 has been a pretty great year. It is sort of scary to vividly remember the turn of the last decade and now this one is already here. Jeez. Here are some things that made this year great and interesting:
I lived in three locations this year.
Started my 4th year of teaching.
Was finally done with my masters and taking NO classes.
Traveled to San francisco with Pam.
Taught photography in summer school.
Saw a sister get married.
BOUGHT A HOUSE!
My 'new' car went over 40000 miles in less than 2 years.
Bought my new camera.
Watched a Fort Osage state football game.
Biked the golden gate bridge.
Discovered sushi and love it!
Turned 26.
Spent a lot of great time with Pam.

Life has been good. Did I miss anything?
